What brands of Ballet Pointe Shoes work the best for beginners, and why?

I’m getting back into dance, and I need to buy a pair of pointe shoes. However I don’t know what brand works the best, or why this is more expensive than that. Are there any that are recommended for beginners, or are just the sturdiest?

Beginner? Getting back into dance? And you’re buying pointe shoes? Don’t you think you’d be better off (and safer) waiting until you’re back in shape? I’d suggest the soft ballet slippers until your teacher gives you the go-ahead.
