Should I start to dance?
hi. im 11 years old and i really want to start dancing. i tried dancing Ballet wen i was 3 and i quit. i dnt really wanna do ballet cuz well i dnt think i really could. my mom used to dance and she says i have “dancing legs.” but the thing is a lot of ppl in my grade dance and are also cheerleaders and if im like a beginner then i dnt other ppl making fun of me. im also very shy but i like to sing and dance in private. i also took acting classes which i hated since i was very shy, but i figured that this would be a little easier for me since it requires no talking and it is something that i would LOVE to do. and do you think i should do jazz, ballet [not my top choice], tap or hip hop. personally i would like tap or jazz but i really dnt kno. in your opinion which one would u do? and should i take those classes?
Well, it’s never too late to start. There was a girl in my classes a few years ago who had never danced in her life, and she ended up being really great.
Do you think you could take 2 classes? Ballet is the foundation of all dancing. But yeah, I admit, I was always pretty much too hyper to just stand in a ballet class all day. Ballet is definitely a good choice to work on, alongside another class. That’s what I’ve always done…ballet and jazz, ballet and lyrical, ballet and tap…or a combination of more than two.
I think you should take ballet and jazz. Ballet is the foundation of all dancing. But jazz is usually pretty basic and easy to pick up on, not to mention upbeat and fun.
