What is a Ballet Wrap Skirt for ?
It is traditionally used in variations and pas de deux classes and rehearsals. Sort of a replacement romantic tutu (not a pancake tutu obviously.) That is what they are for. They are not used in technique classes because it gets in the way of the teacher seeing your body fully. Just leotard and tights for technique class at all major ballet academies. Skirts are not allowed in pre-pro schools except in variations and pas class.
