What do i wear to the Swan Lake Ballet?

I’m going to the swan lake Ballet at Cardiff St davids Hall on monday (2nd january) to watch the swan lake ballet (the russian ballet and orchestra) and i’m not sure what to wear i thought it would be a formal wear but i’m not sure. Its at 2Pm in the afternoon to if that helps

A girl should wear a long gown, I would wear black because you can never go wrong with that and you don’t stand out too much. You don’t really want to stand out, people want to watch the ballet not your dress.

And a guy should wear a suit. This is if this is at a proper show not like, some high school thing.
