What my Ballet shoe size ?
Out of curiosity…whats my ballet shoe size. I am exactly a size 8 in Australian women’s shoes.
each brand of ballet shoe is different with its sizing. even each style in each brand is different in its sizing. you also need to consider the width, which cant be determined from your street shoe size.
Ill give you an example. In Bloch (a common and popular dance brand) ballet slippers, i am a 6D (i am a street shoe 8 australian.) This is for the Prolite slippers. In the Bloch Sylphide brand of pointe shoes, i am a 5 1/2 (from memory.) In bloch jazz shoes, i am an 8 1/2!
In another brand (such as Sansha) i could be a completely different size in ballet slippers. I could be a 9 D, a 4 C etc. They all have different sizing measurements, and can differ from each other dramatically.
