I’m 15 and would like to start taking Ballet classes for fun?
I’m not seeking a ballet career, I just like to dance. I haven’t taken any classes before, aside from my regular zumba at the gym.
I really would like to try ballet. I found some classes nearby which are called “introduction to ballet” and are for girls ages 14 and up (many adults join).
Is this a good idea? I just want to try it, but I’m almost scared of being bad.
Absolutely give it a go!
I started a beginners class in January and am none too flexible or fit but with dedication and practice you will find you come on leaps and bounds. My posture and balance have improved and I can use my musicality to help with routines. It’s good to challenge yourself and the more classes you take the easier it will become because your body will change and you will remember the moves. Definitely give it a go and see if its for you; that being said my first class left me feeling like I was terrible but because I’m stubborn I persisted and when you start to see the results, which was after about a month, it will encourage you to keep at it.
